After reading this, you'll be able to run a "comment +1 for a code" social campaign: when fans comment on a chosen post, the bot instantly replies under the comment and tags them, sends the discount code by direct message, and applies a tag. The message also includes a LINE add-friend link so participants move over to LINE.
The workspace must be connected to a Facebook Page or an Instagram business account. To bring fans to LINE, it also needs a connected LINE Official Account.
You need "Editable" permission for Facebook Comment Reply Bot (or Instagram Comment Reply Bot) and Tag Management.
On the Free plan, each platform can have up to 10 comment reply bots.
Here's how the data flows: a fan comments on the campaign post → the comment reply bot matches the post and keyword → it replies publicly under the comment and sends the code by direct message → the commenter is tagged → the LINE link in the message brings them into LINE.
To move participants to LINE, create a dedicated link under Link Tool › New/Existing Friend Link that tags new friends "Source: FB comments". You'll then see how many LINE friends this campaign brought; see Compare how many new friends each channel brings.
Publish a post on your Page or Instagram that explains how to join, for example "Comment +1 and we'll DM you a 10% off code". The comment reply bot can only select the post once it's published.
Create a comment reply bot under Meta › Facebook › Comment Reply Bot (Instagram has its own under Instagram). What matters in this scenario:
Set Trigger Account and Post to Restrict Posts, click Select Post and check this campaign post, so comments on other posts don't trigger it.
Set Trigger Keyword to Restrict Keywords, type "+1" under Contain and press Enter. Contain is more forgiving than Equals, so "+1 want it" still counts.
Set Add Tag on Trigger to "Commented for code".
On the Comment Reply tab, click Create Reply, insert Member Name first, then write "Check your DMs!". Keep it to one reply — all five would be posted under the comment.
On the Direct Message Reply tab, add the code and how to use it, plus another message with the LINE add-friend link from step 2, such as "Add us on LINE for member-only offers".
Keep the bot's status off until you've saved, then turn it on.
Click the bot in the comment reply bot list and check trigger count and trigger users under Bot Statistics, or the member count of "Commented for code"
Run it on Facebook and Instagram: each platform has its own comment reply bots, so create one per platform with the same content; they can share the tag.
Reply even without a keyword: set Trigger Keyword to No Restriction to answer every comment; if a Restrict Keywords bot also matches the same post, that one replies first.
Hand over to a person after the message: turn on Service Center Transfer in the bot so commenters land in Service Center for one-on-one questions; see Handle conversations in Service Center.

The whole flow
Here's how the data flows: a fan comments on the campaign post → the comment reply bot matches the post and keyword → it replies publicly under the comment and sends the code by direct message → the commenter is tagged → the LINE link in the message brings them into LINE.
Steps
1. Prepare a tag
Create "Commented for code" first so the comment reply bot can select it; see Create and manage tags.
2. Prepare a LINE add-friend link (optional)
To move participants to LINE, create a dedicated link under Link Tool › New/Existing Friend Link that tags new friends "Source: FB comments". You'll then see how many LINE friends this campaign brought; see Compare how many new friends each channel brings.
3. Publish the campaign post
Publish a post on your Page or Instagram that explains how to join, for example "Comment +1 and we'll DM you a 10% off code". The comment reply bot can only select the post once it's published.
4. Create the comment reply bot
Create a comment reply bot under Meta › Facebook › Comment Reply Bot (Instagram has its own under Instagram). What matters in this scenario:
For every field, see Set up comment reply bots.
5. Test, then go live
After turning the bot on, comment "+1" on the campaign post from your own or a colleague's account and check that:
